Dear Members:

At this time, USAWKF is preparing the 2007 US Wushu Team to participate in the upcoming 9th World Wushu Championships, which will be held in Beijing from November 11th - 17th, 2007. The Championships is sponsored by International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and organized by Chinese Wushu Association.

As a member of the IWUF, USAWKF will be brining an official team consisting of officials, athletes and observers to the Championships. The Taolu athletes were selected in Maryland last month and the Sanshou athletes will be selected in the team trials in Texas next month. The officials will be appointed by the USAWKF Board of Directors. USAWKF welcomes family members of the athletes and members of the federation to join the team as observers and be part of the world wushu event which is deemed as a warm-up for the upcoming Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008 which will be held in conjunction with the Summer Olympics next year.

We will be staying at a 4-star hotel in Beijing, and the Organizing Committee will be providing food, lodging (double occupancy) and local transportation for $80.00 per day. Anyone who is interested in participating as observer please register with the attached hospitality form and submit it with the appropriate fee to USAWKF HQ, preferably via emails to: usawkf@usawkf.org. The administration fee for observers is $225.00 and the registration deadline is September 20th, 2007. The hospitality registration contains additional information regarding your participation.
