The USAWKF has successfully conducted the 2007 US Wushu Team Trials at the University of Maryland, College Park on July 14th and 15th. A total of 118 athletes from across the United States competed for the honor of representing the United States in the 9th World Wushu Championships (9th WWC).
Thanks to all the parents, coaches, judges, officials, volunteers, the USAWKF Competition Management Committee, the USAWKF Technical Committee, and the University of Maryland for making this event a success. We also want to give special thanks to Anita Lopez and the University of Maryland's Terp Wushu Club for making the competition run smoothly.
Finally, congratulations to all the athletes on their outstanding achievements! The A Team members will represent the United States as competitors in the 9th WWC, which will be held November 2007 in Beijing, China. The A Team composition is as follows:
