USAWKF Board of Directors Election - Open Nominations

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff of the USAWKF, I am pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period for the 2006 Board of Directors elections. We encourage all members to consider making a nomination to the Board of Directors so as to ensure their vision of the future for the USAWKF is reflected in it new Board.

The USAWKF Board of Directors represents some of the top Wushu/Kung Fu practitioners and is dedicated to advancing the sport in the United States.

As the official USA representative to IWUF, USAWKF selects teams to participate in the official World and Continental Wushu Championships. USAWKF has been a strong supporter of IWUF's goal of making Wushu an Olympic sport. As an official member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the IWUF has worked tirelessly on this objective and has succeeded in this goal of having a Wushu event corresponding with the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
