The Wushu Competition of the Kaohsiung World Games will be held from July 23 to 24, 2009 in Kaohsiung City.
General Information Of Taolu
1. COMPETITION EVENTS
Men's Events: Changquan, Nanquan & Nangun all-round, Taijiquan & Taijijian all-round, Daoshu & Gunshu all-round
Women's Events: Changquan, Nanquan & Nandao all-round, Taijiquan & Taijijian all-round, Jianshu & Qiangshu all-round
2. QUALIFICATIONS
a. The top placed 6 athletes for the taolu competition events of the Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008 in the flowing events: Men's Events: Changquan, Nanquan & Nangun all-round, Taijiquan & Taijijian all-round, Daoshu & Gunshu all-round; Women's Events: Changquan, Nanquan & Nandao all-round, Taijiquan & Taijijian all-round, Jianshu & Qiangshu all-round are eligible to participate in the competition. The athletes can be changed, but the competition events cannot be changed.
b. The eligible countries and regions may send one team official.
3. PARTICIPATION METHODS
a. Each competitor should bring along with a Health Certificate (including electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued at least 30 days before the competitions, a Life Insurance Certificate and a Waiver of Liabilities.
b. The Registration Form for Degree of Difficulty for Optional Routines (Changquan, Nanquan and Taijiquan) and Registration Form for Compulsory Movements in Taolu shall be submitted to the IWUF Secretariat two months prior to the competition.
4. COMPETITION METHODS
a.The competition shall be individual competition.
b. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Rules for International Wushu Taolu Competition endorsed by the IWUF.
c. The regulations of International Wushu Federation shall be implemented during the Tournament.
1.Changquan, Nanquan and Taijiquan will be implemented according to optional routine of the competition rules.
(1)The athletes can choose the degree of difficulty of movements of categories A and B. If they choose the degree of difficulty of movements of category C, the value will be awarded according to the value of degree of difficulty of movements of category B.
(2)At the same category of degree of difficulty, the movement with the same degree of difficulty can be done two times at most, but the movement with degree of difficulty of connecting movements cannot be repeated.
2.Daoshu, Jianshu, Nandao, Taijijian, Gunshu, Qiangshu, and Nangun
The Scoring Criteria for Non-Degree of Difficulty of Movements will be implemented.
3.The athletes should complete the movements of the optional routines required by the rules.
4.Music shall be accompanied to Taijiquan and Taijijian. 0.2 point will be deducted if there is no music (Lyric is not permitted.) accompanied to the said routines.
d. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of disagreement
in the interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.
5. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENT
Competitors shall bring with them competition apparatus in compliance with the Competition Rules.
6. ENTRIES AND REGISTRATION
a. Entries
1. Preliminary Entries
The Preliminary Entry Forms must reach the IWUF Secretariat no later than 24:00 (Beijing Time) on April 22, 2009. They can be sent by mail or fax.
2. Final Entry: The Final Entry Forms must reach the IWUF Secretariat no later than 24:00 (Beijing Time) on May 22, 2009. They can be sent by mail or fax.
b. Registration
1.The judges are required to register in Kaohsiung on July 21, 2009.
2.The athletes are required to register in Kaohsiung on July 21, 2009.
7. TECHNICAL MEETING
The Technical Meeting for team managers and coaches will take place at 10:00 am on July 22, 2009. The meeting will announce the matters related to the competitions. Each team should send one representative to attend the meeting.
8. DRAWING-LOTS CEREMONY
The drawing-lots will be conducted by the IWUF Technical Committee at 11:00 am on July 22, 2009. Each team may send one representative to attend the ceremony. The IWUF Technical Committee will draw lots on behalf of the teams that are unable to send a representative.

Genral Information Of Sanshou
1. COMPETITION EVENTS
Men's Events: 56kg, 70kg, 85kg
Women's Events: 52kg, 60kg
2. QUALIFICATIONS
a. The top placed four (4) athletes for the sanshou competition events of the Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008.
b. If any qualified athletes are unable to participate in the competition due to injury or illness, his/her vacancy shall be filled by the IWUF Technical Committee.
c. The eligible countries and regions may send one team official.
d. The age of the athletes shall be between 18-35 years old.
3. COMPETITION METHODS
a. The competition shall be individual competition.
b. The knock out system will be adopted. If the number of competitors is 4 or less (excluding 4), a single round ¨C robin will be adopted.
c. After register, the athletes shall weigh-in and then draw-lots.
d. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Rules for International Wushu Sanshou Competition endorsed by the IWUF.
4. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENT
a. Competitors shall wear Wushu competition costumes in compliance with the Rules during all the
competitions.
b. Each competitor must possess two (2) sets of costumes: one set of black and one set of red costumes.
c. Gum - shield and jockstrap must be provided by the competitors themselves. Gloves and protective equipment will be provided by the Organizing Committee.

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
a. All participating teams shall be responsible for their international airfare.
b. The Organizing Committee will be responsible for the accommodation and transportation of the participants from 00:00 July 21, 2009 to 12:00 July 25, 2009 in designated hotels.
c. If any teams arriving earlier than the required date or departing later than the required date, they should inform the Organizing Committee to arrange their accommodation before May 22, 2009 and they should get confirmation from the Organizing Committee. The teams shall pay for the accommodation of the extra days.

OTHER MATTERS
Each team is required to bring the following:
a. 3 National flags, regional flags or federation flags (1mx2m);
b. The national anthem or federation song in CD or cassette;
c. 3 photos (passport size) per team member;
d. The original Final Entry Form;
e. Health Certificates of all athletes (including electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued at least 20 days before the competitions, and a Life Insurance Certificate (country or region). The competitor will not be allowed to participate in the competition if he/she cannot present all the certificates.
f. The "Waiver of Liabilities" for each participant.
g. The participating teams should strictly observe the regulations and rules of the competition and compete fairly. Violators shall be dealt with seriously in accordance with the IWUF regulations.
