2010 International Wushu Judges Examination Course
The 2010 International Wushu Judges Examination Course sponsored by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) will be held in Beijing, China from August 18 to 24, 2010. New candidates and current international judge certificate holders can participate in this event. Participants should prepare for this event based on the requirements of the Examination Course.
 
Examination Course Details and Regulations
 
1. Dates and Location
 
Dates: The Course will be held from August 18 to 24 2010.
Location: Beijing, China
 
2. Eligibility of Participants
 
2.1  New candidates
 
The candidates should:
- Be citizens of the countries/regions of IWUF member federations;
- Have judging experience at the national/regional level or other important
competitions;
- Have Chinese or English language ability required for officiating;
- Be born after January 1 1960 and be in good health;
- Each IWUF member federation may enter a maximum of 10 candidates (5 for taolu and 5 for sanda) to participate in the course.
 
2.2  Current international judges renewing their certificates should:
- Be international judge certificate holders
- Judges born between January 1 1955 and January 1 1960 can participate in the course, but are exempted from the examination.
 
3. Entry and Registration
 
3.1 IWUF member federations should send entry and hotel reservation forms to the Secretariat (together with three (3) passport size photos for each participant) prior to June 19, 2010.
 
3.2 The participants should register in Beijing on August 19. The place of registration will be provided at a later date.  
 
4.  Grading Criteria and Certificate
 
4.1 New candidates
 
4.1.1 Those who pass the examination will receive the Grade "C" certificate for taolu judges and Grade "B" certificate for sanda judges. The International Judge Certificates of Grading and Badges will also be conferred to them.
 
4.1.2 Those who do not pass the examination can not receive the Certificates. Only the Certificate of Participation will be conferred by the IWUF to those who do not pass the examination.
 
4.2 Current international judge certificate holders
 
4.2.1 The grading system and the grades for judges will be applied and determined according to the "Detailed Regulations of Examination" (see attachment). New International Judge Certificates and Badges will be conferred if participants pass the examination.
 
5. Course and Hotel Fees
 
5.1 The fee for the certificate and badge is US$ 50 per participant.
This fee covers local transportation (airport - hotel - airport included), lectures, training, examination, venues, equipment, welcome and farewell banquets.
 
5.2 US$75 per person per day (double room)
5.3 US$95 per person per day (single room)
5.4 US$60 per person per day (double room) for accompanying person
 
6. Other Matters
 
The participants should read this notice and the attachment carefully and follow the requirements and rules listed here. The IWUF has the authority to prohibit those who do not abide by the requirements and rules from participating in the examination. The concerned IWUF member federations and the participants shall bear all the consequences and expenses relating to this event.
 
7. Hotel and Training Venue
 
All participants will be accommodated by the IWUF Secretariat. Please send your hotel reservation form to the IWUF Secretariat at your earliest convenience.
