US National Wushu Team & Official Sponsor - Tiger Claw
Since its inception in 1993, USAWKF has hosted biennial team trials to select the best athletes in the United States to represent our country in the IWUF- sponsored World Wushu Championships. The U.S. team, consists of male and female Taolu and Sanshou athletes who represent the highest levels of the sport in U.S. In the past 16 years, these teams have participated in the world championships in various parts of the world:
1993 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
1995 - Baltimore, Maryland, USA
1997 - Rome, Italy
1999 - Hong Kong
2001 - Yeveren, Armenia
2003 - Macao
2005 - Hanoi, Vietnam
2007 - Beijing, China
Since 1997, our official sponsor, Tiger Claw Group & Tiger Claw Foundation, has sponsored 12 U.S. Wushu Teams to compete internationally. Our young athletes have benefited greatly from participating in these international events, both personally and professionally.
